There are 2 features in DirectAdmin which are:
- Domain Setup
- Subdomain Management
Domain Setup
Use this feature to add a new domain (Domain Addon) to your web hosting account. You can also use this feature to add new subdomains. By using this feature, each addon domain and subdomain will have their own configuration settings such as PHP version selection.
Subdomain Management
Use this feature to add new subdomains. However, the drawback of using this feature is that all subdomains will inherit the primary domain configurations. It means that you cannot change your subdomains PHP Version and other settings.
Therefore, we recommend you to use the Domain Setup feature to add new subdomains to your web hosting account.
